Now, I had always drawn, but I never really kept a sketchbook until a couple years ago. Then, one day, I said — "Christ on a bun — how can I consider myself an artist if I never draw?" So I got a sketchbook. And I used it. It was pretty handy to have something I could carry around everywhere; and I tell you it's a lot easier to draw something, or write it down when it actually happens instead of "when I get home".
When I finally ran out of room in the sketchbook, I looked back through it, and thought it was pretty interesting. I could see how rusty I was when I started up, and how just working in it constantly improved things bit by bit. The book itself kind of told a story. Taken as a whole, it was a pretty interesting composition.
So, I scanned in the pages, and put it online. But just hanging out online, I couldn't talk about any of the stuff people were looking at. And some of the uninteresting stuff gets pretty interesting in context, so I included my thoughts in the form of comments.
