I'd also like to congratulate the ALA team on an excellent redesign. For a blow by blow on how the site came together, check out the launch article by Zeldman. For those of you who have never visited A List Apart, I suggest you high-tail it over there and look around. There's plenty of great resources to help in the never-ending quest of website creation, maintenance, and marketing.

Lovely website, I love the small watercolour stuff you do Kev, do you make them at that size or resize them on the computer?
Thanks, Pierce! And a very true observation.
Murten - I would say the illustrations are done at about 200 percent. The nice thing about an image with watercolor tonality, is that it can reduce quite a bit (as opposed to tones created by hatching).
Haha - well Anders - I wasn't planning to get a tattoo... I guess I just wanted to talk about 'em...
So now there are TWO t-shirts (XHTML + Stabby) by Kevin.
You should consider going into fashion design like Nigo, the Bathing Ape guy. Or Paul Frank.
Hmmm -- both employ simian imagery.
I'd LOVE to see a Mojo t-shirt that parodies the ubiquitous Paul Frank monkey shirt.
Swwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeet!
All my shirt designs encourage violence. Hmmm...
Looks great. Are you implying that people that write XHTML-compliant pages are some sort of six-fingered mutant, though?
When I saw the illustration for the Jim Coudal article this morning, I thought it was certainly your work before scrolling to the bottom.
Congratulations from one of the mutants !
Rick - Maybe. I've never met a six-fingered man who DOESN'T use semantic code...
Sophie - Thanks, very much!
Kevin,
I'd like to extend an offer to you to be the official illustrator for... well, for...
ME!
I'll cart you around to meetings with me, and then when a moment that needs illustration comes up, I'll say, "Kevin, whip something out!" and watch people STAND BACK...
Charles - Thanks!
Malibu - I like that idea! I'm tired having to move under my own power. You WORK in Malibu too, right? With tanned, buxom beach party chicks?

The new design is yummy. Congratulations on your contribution.
It's amazing to watch the trend back towards whitespace newspapery looks over the past year or so. When you compare the previous list apart, which was so much a product of its time, to ALA4.0, equally reflecting current trends in webdesign. And lovely.
