Sketchbook Spelunking

Sketchbook Spelunking

Mining for Material

Last night, Kim and I were paging through my old sketchbooks, looking for things that might look good on a sample kit. Now, I don't think I've ever mentioned it on this site, but I'm currently up to my 11th sketchbook. And since the first one, I've picked up the slightly detrimental habit of working up "final" art in the sketchbook.

Why is that detrimental? Well, for a couple of reasons, one of which is that I tend to ignore drawings not as worked up when I page through. Luckily, while browsing last night, Kim found this little guy, and I must say I think he's a pretty neat discovery.

Everything Looks Familiar

See the tread marks? He's been there for hours; And he seems confused about why! Will he ever find out why he's not getting there? Did he need the tire, or was it a cosmetic decision that's become a regrettable hindrance? Perhaps, if he's lucky, he will learn to push off with his right, and lean to the left.

'Till then... he's just plum stuck.

Actually, I think there should be footprints in a circle around the wheel leg instead of the other way around.

Am I wrong?

B

Perhaps the wheel is using some kind of strange new propulsion system to drive it.

jeff

I think the "lazy eye" is even funnier than the wheel. Have you ever seen people with that?...man...that's funny.

Secondly, I hope the "fashion" reference was used like "this guy is about to fashion a fireball tossing catapult" instead of the other definition. I want to believe kevin is a manly guy, and not a total sissy.

bizatch

the wheel is some sort of sex toy. The faster he goes, the more it tickles his balls. Kev. Your're sick.
